1. Iran
The president speaks tonight. Before he does, a status report on the questions that matter.
This morning, Trump posted that Iran’s “New Regime President” had requested a ceasefire. Iran’s Foreign Minister called the claim “baseless.” In Kuwait, an Iranian drone struck fuel tanks at the international airport — a major civilian hub — breaching the basic norm against targeting civilian infrastructure and signaling that whatever the diplomats are doing, the trigger fingers are still firing.
